The Cavalcade of Misery

Life is dripping away
on the suburban mile.
The cavalcade of misery
forms its single file.
Ranch houses on the left
and two-stories on the right
It’s the early morning
but it looks like the dead of night
Marching off to a day
just like the last-
just like a million others
stacked in my past.

It was precisely because of this I and my family with me, fled the cities and the city jobs. We now awake to bird-song and breezes and music from Harmony Creek. You have captured the pain of city life perfectly.

After you read the above comment, can you delete it?
I don’t want my email address showing.
    Thank you!
