Space Wanderer

sliding through space as silent as a tomb
cramped and confined as a mother’s womb
no fun and festivities grace a space ark
sailing in search of a planetary park

holograms and hallucinations are my companions
as i dream of mountains, meadows, and canyons
like the ones I left back on a planet in ruin
once populated by bats, beavers, and bruin

Now dead but for these wandering few
