Autumnal Haiku

Sitting, eyes shaded
Chirping birds tell lies of spring
Chill air tells the truth

Crunching leaves, I look
No undergrowth, trees barren,
Ghost squirrels chasing

Walking. Time dilates.
As crisp leaves drift to the ground
Winter can wait
