Who?

I am Bernie Gourley. A Hoosier by birth, I presently live in Atlanta because I was too hibernation-prone to survive Indiana winters. (I would be sluggish as a sloth from, say, October 15th to April 20th.)

I recently left a job at Georgia Tech doing various and sundry things pertaining to a number of random and unrelated projects in order to pursue a career in writing. I’m currently working on my first novel, entitled DARK CELL, which I will have drafted in the fall of 2012 – then the work begins.

I have trained in a Japanese martial art for 20 years, but, shhh, please don’t tell anyone. I would like to maintain the element of surprise should I ever need to use it.

My educational background is in the Social Sciences, and I have Masters degrees in Economics and International Affairs.

I enjoy traveling with my wife to exotic destinations (i.e. cheap third-world locales that preferably have no wars or pandemics occurring at the moment – but, if the airfare is low enough, we’re flexible on the latter.)

Told you so.

Pretty sure I’m the one missing things these days. But I’m working on it. Cheers.

  5. Interesting blog! When you mentioned cheap third world locales with no war or pandemics, I sighed! Interesting times we’re in, aren’t we?
